SOME OF THE BEST BEACHES ON THE BIG ISLAND’S NORTH SHORE

Mauna Kea Beach
A must visit beach while on the Big Island. Known as one of the best beaches on all of the Hawaiian islands. Great for most any beach activity and sure to be a favorite. Good Bathrooms & Showers and you can even enjoy the outdoor cafe if you don’t bring a picnic. Go early as they only let 30 cars have parking permits at a time. It is 32 Miles North of Kona and will take you about 45 minutes to get there, but it is by far worth it, it is my personal favorite beach.

Hapuna Beach
Many call this a perfect beach as well. Fine golden sand with clean, clear water. Perfect for swimming, boogie boarding, relaxing and more! A favorite of many and highly recommended! Known to be a bit windier at times but great for Boogie Boarding.

Waialea Beach
When the sea is calm, this is a great swimming beach. It has been known to be great for snorkeling and surely makes a great place to enjoy the day with your family.

Kahalu’u Beach Park
Within walking distance from the Condo, many call this one of the best snorkel spots on the island. All the facilities you may need you will find at this salt and pepper beach.

Makalawena
With plenty of fine white sand and even some shade, this beach is a top choice. Simply picturesque and a beautiful place to sun and swim

Kekah Kai State Park
This is a great beach close to town to just relax and get away. Wonderful exploring and even has some shade trees.

Road to the Sea Beach
This beach requires 4 Wheel Drive and some patience getting there, but once you do, it is a breathtaking crescent shaped Green Sand Beach that you will likely have to yourself. Bring a picnic lunch and Enjoy the super fine glistening sand.

Spencer Beach Park
A great beach to visit when checking out the Northern end of the island. Perfect for families with lots of fine golden sand and facilities.
